What the price does not include
- Selling tyres. We do not sell them at all.
- Fitting loose tyres to rims.
- Balancing. Done separately when there is a reason for it.
- Puncture repair. We do not do it at all. If damage is found during storage we contact you and tell you what we saw.

When this work becomes due
A tyre hotel means your seasonal tyres are not at home. Not on the balcony, not on the garage floor, not in the corner of the cellar, and not carried out to the car twice a year.
The right place for a tyre is cool, dry and dark, at a steady temperature of roughly ten to twenty-five degrees. Hotter than that, or below freezing, and the rubber's properties start to change, while sunlight hardens the surface. So a warm store is not the goal, whatever the advertising says. A tyre does not want warmth, it wants nothing to move.
The changeover jams up at every workshop in the same two weeks each April and October. As a tyre hotel customer you are not in that queue, because your tyres are already here. We get in touch before the rush starts.
We are a repair workshop, not a tyre shop. We do not sell tyres, so when we say yours will last another season, we have nothing to sell you in that sentence. And since the car is on the lift for the changeover anyway, a service or a brake check can be done at the same visit.
Read the contract termsWhile your tyres are with us
The tyres remain your property for the whole of the storage period. We do nothing to them that you do not know about: if we find damage, or a tyre that is no longer fit to use, we contact you and tell you what we saw. We neither repair nor dispose of anything without your permission.
The tyres are insured for the time they are with us. What the policy covers, and what the excess is, are not things you should have to read off a web page, so we put them in writing in the storage contract before you leave the tyres. We also record their condition on arrival, so that later it is clear what was already there.
You can collect the tyres at any time, including mid-season. Let us know in advance and they will be ready when you arrive.
If tyres are not collected, we write to the address you gave us. They may be sold no sooner than three months after that notice. If the tyres have no appreciable sale value, they may be sold a year after the contract ends. That is what the Act on a trader's right to sell uncollected goods provides, and it cannot be contracted away to your disadvantage.
The motor trade's service and repair terms cover the changeover work. Storage is agreed separately, in the storage contract.
